Meet Zoox. Amazon's autonomous driving taxi. They say it's for riders, not drivers. We personally enjoy driving - a lot, however, there are plenty of times when riding is a better option and that is where Zoox shines.
Zoox is 100% electric and autonomous and Amazon claims the Zoox is extremely safe for its occupants. And citing the fact that most accidents are caused by human error, perhaps they are correct? Either way, Zoox will have multiple overlapping 360 degree sensors, reimagined airbags, 5-star safety for all passengers and a backup system to alleviate any potential mechanical failures.
